death of grandmother
The phone rang impatiently in the middle of nowhere. I thought it was time for me to get up, but turned to the other side of the bed and continue my beauty sleep. Daddy knocked my door, came to me and said, "Hey ah ma die le".

I "huh" him two times then cannot sleep for an hour. Sigh. I teared a little. Last thursday Mummy and the 3 monkeys went visiting her. That was the last time we see her.. Joann and Joanna were away doing homework. I followed Mummy to push her around, to the outside of the rooms, the pond. She lied on her wheel chair, smiled for a few minutes. It's as if .....
Tan Koon Tee. She has loving kindness. And i have strong feelings for her though we dun communicate well. My hokkien sucks :( She passed away at 2.45am. She couldn't sleep last night and kept calling names. The nurse settled her down on a wheel chair and pushed out of the room to avoid disturbance to other patients. He was doing some medicine stuff, and grandmother was still nagging about names. She stopped suddenly, struggled to catch her breathe twice and died. The previous night, she asked 2nd uncle to stay back with her. (I think she can sense that she dun have much time le bah) But instead, he promised to bring Great uncle (he is physically disabled) to see her the next afternoon. Grand mother didn't wait for him :'(
Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 "For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun".
Isaiah 26:14 "They are dead; they will not live. Impotent in death, they will not rise up. Therefore you have turned your attention that you might annihilate them and destroy all mention of them".
She is gone now. But i believe she will be resurrected by God.
I'm going off to attend her funeral now. My third relative dead since i was born. Tomorrow is the exam for BFD and i'm yet to study! :(
